Who is Mr. Koutz? I graduated from Vestaburg High School in 1991. After two, two-year stints in two different colleges I left school to work and get married. I spent a few years working in the retail grocery industry before beginning an almost decade long career in the newspaper industry. I worked for two major media companies in the distribution and transportation side of the industry. Due to economic conditions I was laid-off and forced to find a new career. I went back to my roots and began working on completing my elementary education degree and in 2012 I completed my degree and received my teaching certificate.
In 2012 I began my teaching career as a second grade teacher in the St. Louis Public School District. After two years at St. Louis, in 2014, I came back to the school district where it all started for me, Vestaburg.
I am privileged and honored to be teaching in my hometown of Vestaburg as well as coaching varsity girls basketball. I have been married to my wife, Nicole, for over 20 years. We have six awesome children (Taylor, Logan, Aggie, Gwendalynn, Maddex, and Ella), a dog named Rookie and a degu named Diego. I am very active in coaching softball, and basketball.
